Interac wins the GoOverseas Community Choice Awards in 2024!
We’re very happy to announce that Interac was chosen as an award winner for two GoOverseas Community Choice awards in 2024.
We received the Gold Award in Safety, and the Bronze Award in Support.
In 2023, we were awarded the Bronze Award in Safety, so gaining two awards this year, including a Gold, is a major accomplishment for Interac. It’s a sign of our continued efforts towards our teachers and their wellbeing.
The Gold Award in Safety
In the Safety category, factors for selection included safety at school as well as in the community. Japan is a very safe place in general and Japanese schools place a priority on student and staff safety. In the community, our teachers can feel safe knowing that help from Interac is only a call or email away at any time.
Interac places the highest priority on legal compliance and adherence to all laws and regulations related to education and employment of foreign workers. We’re recognized by the Japan Immigration Association, and we help more teachers than any other private ALT provider get the required Education visa. This allows us to make sure that every teacher’s residence status (visa) is fully compliant with immigration standards.
Additionally, we are proud to have a diverse population, with over 80 nationalities represented among our ALT staff, reflecting our commitment to fostering a global and inclusive community.
The Bronze Award in Support
For the Support category, we place a special emphasis on giving basic life support and comprehensive training to get new teachers started off strongly and able to teach from their first day in the classroom.
Our staff arranges housing, internet connectivity, transportation, insurance, local government registration and paperwork, and orients new teachers in their local town. Every ALT is fully-equipped to start their new life in Japan and teach in schools without any worry about the basics.
Of course, our support doesn’t end with just the basics, we also provide regular teacher meetings and ongoing training to foster teamwork and develop skills as an ALT. Our head teachers and instructor managers have regular check-ins with teachers to catch up on how they’re doing and if they need any extra help, with schools or in their daily life.
