Job Description

Build Your Career, Not Just Your Passport.

Are you an ALT currently working in Japan who is frustrated with your current company’s conditions, lack of stability, or seasonal salary reductions? If you have spent the last few years developing your teaching skills and are seeking a professional upgrade, this is the ideal opportunity for you.

At Interac, we respect the skills of seasoned educators. We are currently recruiting motivated, resident-based instructors for public schools in the highly accessible and centrally located ward of Kita-ku, Tokyo. Unlike larger dispatch setups that treat ALTs as passive assistants, we offer a professional environment built entirely on respect, financial transparency, and career stability.

The Reality of the Role:

You will be placed in public schools in Kita-ku, working a stable schedule Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Your weekends, public holidays, and seasonal school breaks are fiercely protected, giving you the time to rest, study, and maintain an excellent work-life balance.

Rather than acting as a passive “tape recorder,” you will act as a genuine pedagogical partner, actively co-teaching alongside Japanese Homeroom Teachers (HRTs) as T1 or T2 as the situation requires.

You will be placed in public schools in Kita-ku, working a stable schedule Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Your weekends, public holidays, and seasonal school breaks are protected, giving you the time to rest, study, and maintain an excellent work-life balance.

Your Daily Responsibilities:

• Lead and co-teach interactive, communicative English classes for young learners.
• Autonomously develop and design lesson materials, worksheets, and engaging educational games.
• Foster a positive classroom atmosphere, building strong connections with students during recess, school events, and lunch.
• Act as a global cultural ambassador, bringing international perspectives into the local school community.

Uncompromising Support & Benefits:

We believe that you can only support your students if your employer fully supports you.

We proudly provide:

• Predictable Income: A guaranteed, fixed monthly salary, paid accurately and on time. The salary range is between ¥2,400,000 and ¥3,000,000 annually.
• Transparent Holiday Pay: Unlike companies that leave you financially stranded or dock your pay in the summer and winter, we guarantee 12 equal monthly payments.
• Social Insurance: Full enrollment in Shakai Hoken (Health Insurance and Pension) from your first day, with Interac paying its full legal corporate share.
• Commuting Reimbursement: 100% of your work-related commuting costs are covered monthly.
• Visa Security: Complete visa sponsorship and administrative transition support if required.
• Award-Winning Support: Interac is a three-time winner of the GoOverseas Community Choice Awards Gold Award for Safety and Support (2023, 2024, and 2025).

Who We Are Looking For

Because this position is governed by strict local Board of Education criteria, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Non-Negotiable: Must have at least 3 years of experience teaching young learners (preschool, kindergarten, elementary, or junior high school students) within Japan. This experience can be from an ALT company, private Eikaiwa, international school, or preschool, etc.
• Education: Holds a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any academic discipline.
• Language History: Fluent English proficiency, backed by at least 12 years of formal education where English was the primary language of instruction.
• Current Residency: Must currently reside in Japan with a valid Residence Card and valid visa status.
• Professional Appearance: No visible tattoos or body modifications when wearing professional business attire.
